Propain Rage DH Race
More news on the proto Propain DH bike that we announced last week as their website goes live: http://propain-bikes.com/.
Propain are designed in Germany and '09 is going to see their first year in full production. The bike you've seen already is going to be called the 'Rage' and will come in a 240mm DH option (as above) and a 200mm 'bikepark' version. There are also 5 other bikes in the range from dirt jumpers to 'all mountain' kinda things.
Here's some info on the Rage DH:
"The Rage is our contribution to the world of downhill racing. Equipped with some outstanding design innovations it is designated to be fast...seriously fast. Its stiff and lightweight frame pared with the PRO10 suspension system is just meant to deliver on any downhill race course."
Features
- PRO10 suspension system
- 240mm of linear rear travel
- Can be converted to the "Rage Bikepark" (200mm travel) by changing the shock and upper lever
- Dropouts are designed for Maxxle Axle or 12mm through axle
- In cooperation with MRP we developed a direct mount for the MRP G2 chainguide
- Sells with MRP G2 chainguide

Here's the 'Vegas' all mountain model:
- PRO10 suspension system
- 150mm travel
- Tapered head tube
- Dropouts for both Maxxle Axle and 12mm through axle

"The Vegas is our All Mountain machine. The suspension is optimized for the single chainring of the Truvativ Hammerschmidt front shifting device, for an absolute minimum of pedal feedback. Even though having 150mm of travel the Vegas will climb any mountain with ease. Hitting the downhill though is were the real fun begins."
Stay tuned for a full test of the Rage in Wideopen issue 9 which we're out thrashing this weekend.
Until then - keep an eye on http://www.propain-bikes.com/
