Pearce Cycles Summer Series: Rhyd Y Felin

Barely recovered from the weekend at Fort Bill, I jumped in the car and missioned up to North Wales for Pearce Rd4 race at Rhyd Y Felin. Rhyd recently featured in the 'Seasons' Steve Peat section and the infamous Athertons' Farmer Jack flick (see here). It's also renound for being one of the best tracks in the bloomin country, proven by the fact that the race entries sold out in about 8 hours!

The track was bone dry, loose and dusty with big balls and no brakes needed to do well. Up top it's FAST, FAST, FAST and open... Then lower down it gets into some really fun, rooty woods with loads of lines to choose from. There's no point say who was looking fast, cos pretty much everyone was flying whether they liked it or not. James Hughes and the Morgan's stood out with some ballsy lines and balls out attacking of the last section....

There'll be a full repo in Wideopen 7 - but you can check out the full results
here. Fastest on the day was James Hughes, sporting fresh MTB-Direct, Electric Kit! Fastest lady was Emily Horridge. Nice work.

Cheers to Pearce Cycles and everyone else for another great weekend of racing at a great venue...
